An established law firm based in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 75 years of practice, is seeking a seasoned Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join their litigation team. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience, including first-chair trial experience in med mal cases.
Offer:
Salary range: $125,000-$175,000+, based on experience

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in medical malpractice defense litigation
Proven trial experience, including trying medical malpractice cases to verdict
Licensed to practice law in Louisiana
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Responsibilities:
Managing complex medical malpractice cases from intake through trial and appeal
Developing litigation strategies and advising healthcare providers and insurers
Taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Leading trial preparation and serving as lead counsel in court
Mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with partners on case strategy
