Construction Accountant - Commercial Drywall Accounting

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to manage financial and accounting activities specifically for our commercial drywall projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and support project managers in budgeting and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all accounting functions related to commercial drywall projects, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for construction projects.
Monitor project budgets and forecasts, and report discrepancies to management.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals for new projects.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
Ideally seeking an experienced Accountant that has worked at a Commercial GC or Drywall Subcontractor.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders.
