Job Title: Estimator - Residential Land Development/Civil Construction

Requirements: Estimator with Residential Land Development/Civil Construction experience in the Central Texas area.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team specializing in residential land development. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction plans, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary constraints. This role is crucial for the timely and cost-effective completion of residential developments, including subdivisions and lots.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for residential land development projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and scope.
Conduct site visits to gather relevant information for estimating costs and timelines.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on estimated costs for management and stakeholders.
Maintain and update a database of costs for materials, labor, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Assist in the bid process, including the preparation of bid packages and evaluating bids from subcontractors.
Monitor project budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities during the construction process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in civil construction or residential land development.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes relevant to residential development.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
