Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Irving, TX
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000
My client is a well-known commercial HVAC company headquartered in the DFW metro. We are looking for an experienced engineer who has experience using AutoCAD, Revit and and holds their PE license, if that sounds like you lets connect!
What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) for commercial buildings, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and local codes.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure that mechanical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design and timeline.
Oversee the installation of mechanical systems on construction sites, ensuring adherence to design plans, safety standards, and quality control.
Identify and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during the construction process, providing timely and cost-effective solutions.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
Work closely with other engineers, construction teams, and clients to provide technical support and ensure successful project outcomes.
What You Need for this Position:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical system design, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems.
Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), load calculation tools, and project management software.
Understanding of local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
