Settlement and Disbursement Analyst

Position Overview
The Settlement and Disbursement Analyst plays a critical role in managing and executing the financial settlements and disbursements for legal cases. This position requires a strong understanding of legal settlement processes and financial regulations to ensure accurate and timely payments to clients and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the settlement process for legal cases, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and process financial disbursements for settlements in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of settlements and disbursements, ensuring all documentation is complete and organized.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to gather necessary information for settlements and disbursements.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books to manage financial transactions related to settlements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to settlement and disbursement activities.
  • Support the financial team in audits and compliance reviews related to settlement funds.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in legal settlements and disbursements.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quick Books.
  • Experience with Trust Accounting, Financial Disbursements, and Settlement Disbursement processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with case management software such as Needles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Mass Tort and Personal Injury cases is advantageous.
